Craftbox | Beta Preview (v1.2.0-beta.3)

Warning

Beta builds are NOT suitable for production use, so do not use this to manage Minecraft servers you care about! Test this build in a fresh container/environment.

  • Uploading a file over one that a running server is holding open is now refused, which is what beta.2 said it did but didn't actually do. The server jar, and anything already sitting in the world folders, logs/ or mods//plugins/, are protected while the server runs — the rest of the batch still uploads, and new files in those folders are unaffected. Windows refused that write on its own, but on Linux — which is every Docker install — it quietly succeeded and replaced the live file, which is enough to corrupt a running server's jar or world.

Fixes

  • Fixed the Clear button on the Events tab staying on screen when there was nothing left to clear. It was meant to disappear on an empty log, and did nothing useful if you pressed it.
  • Fixed state-dependent text and tooltips rendering wrongly across the panel, from the same underlying mistake. On Settings and Properties, both halves of a running/stopped hint appeared at once — so a stopped server was told it needed stopping. On Files, Mods and Plugins, the tooltip explaining why a button was greyed out came through cut off after its first word until the server changed state.
  • Fixed GET /servers/:id/console?limit=0 returning the default 200 lines instead of clamping to 1. GET /servers/:id/events?limit= had the same problem with no lower bound at all, where a negative limit silently dropped the newest events from the response.
  • Fixed the rename and new-folder dialogs on the Files tab letting you submit a name the server was always going to reject. Their confirm button now stays disabled until the name is one that will be accepted, matching every other dialog in the panel.
  • Fixed required fields missing the red asterisk that marks them: the version and JAR URL on Settings, both already marked on Create, and the name field in the rename, new-folder and group dialogs.

Installation

The easiest way to host Craftbox yourself is by using Docker. Please read this part of the Craftbox docs for the installation guide.
Alternatively, you can also download the source code, install the required node modules and run the server manually. (Learn more)
