Experimental ARM64 build for Raspberry Pi OS.

Changes since codex26:

  • adds a 20 ms dry warm-up when reactivating host-bypassed, suspended processors
  • replaces the linear bypass blend with a smooth 100 ms S-curve crossfade
  • preserves CPU suspension for tail-free amp, simulator, distortion, EQ and filter blocks

This reduces switching clicks while keeping preloaded NAM models available for fast snapshot changes. Built and tested on Raspberry Pi 5 with a Babyface Pro FS.

Experimental ARM64 build for Raspberry Pi OS Lite / Debian 13.

Changes in codex26:

  • Suspends DSP for bypassed tail-free LV2 amplifier, simulator, distortion, waveshaper, EQ and filter plugins after the existing bypass fade.
  • Keeps NAM models instantiated and resident for immediate snapshot switching.
  • Continues processing Delay, Reverb and modulation plugins so their tails are preserved.
  • Continues handling LV2 Atom and worker messages while suspended, allowing bypassed NAM instances to preload model changes.
  • Fixes the staged LV2 input atom forge selection.

Validation:

  • Native ARM64 production build completed.
  • BuildTest passed.
  • TooB NAM live test: PiPedal DSP meter measured 88.0% enabled and 70.0% bypassed in the same preset.
  • Installed and running on the Raspberry Pi 5 reference system.

Changes since codex24:

  • Fix secondary-path connector rendering so Path B, C and D signal lines share the same coordinate layer as their blocks.
  • Verified visually against a live multipath preset on Raspberry Pi 5.

  • Frontend TypeScript/Vite production build passed.

Experimental ARM64 build based on Robin Davies PiPedal 2.0.110, prepared for review/testing.

Highlights since codex23:

  • Adds main UI snapshot quick actions: Update Snapshot and New Snapshot.
  • Adds optional auto-save for snapshot changes in Settings.
  • Uses actual snapshot names in MIDI action targets.
  • Improves responsive MIDI action card readability for iPad-style layouts.
  • Removes implicit fallback mapping where unassigned Program Change messages selected PiPedal presets; explicit Control Hub/System MIDI actions still work.

Validation:

  • Built on Raspberry Pi / ARM64.
  • Package metadata: pipedal 2.0.110+codex24 arm64.
  • ctest passed: jsonTest, BuildTest, DevTest.

Experimental downloadable build of the performance/multipath integration branch for direct evaluation by Robin Davies and other PiPedal contributors.

Target: Raspberry Pi OS Lite / Debian 13 (Trixie), arm64. This package uses Trixie t64 dependencies and is not a Bookworm build.

New in codex23:

  • Global EQ graph and numeric controls now preview changes in the realtime audio thread while dragging. Pedalboard persistence happens only when the edit is committed.
  • Control Hub MIDI actions now use responsive, touch-friendly cards instead of the compressed 13-column table.
  • Add action is available directly in the block/parameter view.
  • New snapshot actions default to the intuitive mapping PC 0 -> Snapshot 1, PC 1 -> Snapshot 2, and so on. The incoming PC field displays the effective mapping and MIDI Learn supports USB and Bluetooth MIDI.

Also included: the complete codex22 feature set, including multipath routing, dynamic interface input/output selection, input noise gate, plugin skins and categories, NAM calibration workflow, Bluetooth-aware MIDI routing, external MIDI send actions, modified PiPedal server, production web UI, service/configuration files, factory presets and the fork bundled TooB Amp build.

Not included: separately installed Dragonfly, Calf, LSP, Chow/Airwindows and Dusk Audio suites.

Validation: built natively on the Raspberry Pi 5 reference host; all three CTest suites passed; the package was installed over codex22; the service started successfully; HTTP returned 200; the journal contained no warnings; the responsive Control Hub was visually and interactively tested at iPad landscape dimensions.

Verify with sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS, then install using sudo apt install ./pipedal_2.0.110+codex23_arm64.deb. Back up /var/pipedal before installing an experimental build.

Target: Raspberry Pi OS Lite / Debian 13 (Trixie), arm64. This package uses Trixie t64 dependencies and is not a Bookworm build.

New in codex22: separate USB/Bluetooth MIDI input and output selection, BLE MIDI device labels, automatic reconnection of saved destinations, and Control Hub actions that send MIDI CC, Program Change, or Note messages to selected external devices. Existing configurations migrate as input-only to prevent accidental MIDI feedback loops.

Included: modified PiPedal server, production web UI, service/configuration files, factory presets and the fork's bundled TooB Amp build.

Not included: separately installed Dragonfly, Calf, LSP, Chow/Airwindows and Dusk Audio suites.

Validation: built natively and installed on the Raspberry Pi 5 reference host; all CTest suites passed, the service and 12-channel Babyface ALSA session started successfully, and ALSA routing was verified without the prior PiPedal self-loop.

Not included: separately installed Dragonfly, Calf, LSP, Chow/Airwindows and Dusk Audio suites. PLUGIN-INVENTORY.txt records the reference Pi's LV2 bundles and manifest hashes.

Validation: the .deb was installed back onto the Raspberry Pi 5 build host; the service, web UI and 12-channel ALSA session started successfully. Focused multipath, routing and JSON/preset tests passed.
