Turn any video or audio into accurately split, translated, animated subtitles.
SubSlap runs on your Mac. It transcribes, splits lines where sentences actually break, translates, and exports captions you can burn in or drop onto a transparent layer.
- Transcribe from video or audio. Drop in a file and get a timed transcript. Run it locally on-device, or use your own API key for cloud speed.
- Split where sentences break. Lines end at natural clause and sentence boundaries instead of a fixed word count. Sentence Mode gives you one caption per sentence, with no mid-thought cuts.
- Teach it your words. A glossary keeps names, brands, and jargon spelled the way you want, and biases transcription toward them.
- Translate. Convert captions into a wide range of languages while the timing stays put.
- Animate. Style captions with animated presets and preview them over your source video.
- Export your way. Burn subtitles straight onto the video, or render them on a transparent alpha layer to drop into your editor. Progress updates live while it renders.
- Creators who want fast, styled, accurate captions on their own videos.
- Editors and motion designers who need clean, transparent-background caption assets to drop into an edit.
