ToolHaven 2.1.1

A Windows desktop workbench for open-source CLI tools — media, images, PDFs and
developer utilities, without the command line.

A patch release, and the first one the app can install by itself.

Fixed

  • Updating closed the app instead of updating it. On Windows the installer
    takes over and exits the app the moment it is launched, so the window
    disappeared while the update was still downloading. The download now finishes
    first, and the app is only handed over when you press Restart.

New

  • Settings opens with the version that is running, and a Check now button
    for when you would rather not wait for the next launch.
  • A new version announces itself at the top of the page, coming down from
    above and stopping under the top bar instead of at the bottom edge.
  • Settings says less. Every card explained its own switch in two or three
    lines. The explanations are gone; what is left is what a heading cannot say.

Windows x64 only. SHA-256 checksums in checksums.txt. The portable build does
not update itself. SmartScreen will warn on first run: the installer is not
code-signed.

If you are on 2.1.0, you do not need any of this: open the app and it will
fetch this version on its own.
