Hello!

Our CI builds started failing earlier:

Currently, eclipse.org is having an outage. It seems that the spotless-maven-plugin grabs Eclipse JDT dependencies from the official Eclipse repos. To my knowledge, the JDT components are available on Maven Central (which, due to supplying most of the planet with artifacts, tends to be a lot more reliable).

Is there some way I can get the plugin to use Maven Central instead?

We have an open issue to embed this metadata into the spotless jar so that the Eclipse JDT formatter can break its dependency on Eclipse.org, PRs welcome. I'm on mobile so hard to look it up

running into the same issue myself, makes sense to use MC or something more reliable.

We do download the jars from maven, but we download the metadata that describes versions from Eclipse.org - the maven metadata is incomplete.

We have an open issue to embed this metadata into the spotless jar so that the Eclipse JDT formatter can break its dependency on Eclipse.org, PRs welcome. I'm on mobile so hard to look it up
