v0.209.0
Background mode
Diffusion Studio now runs in the background while agents use it. It lives in the menu bar (macOS) or the notification area (Windows), and the editor window only opens when you or a tool needs it. Closing the window hides it; only Quit ends the app.
- Tray menu: open or hide the window, see whether an agent is working, see the open project, and quit. The icons follow the light or dark theme.
windowtool: agents can show or hide the editor window, or check whether it is showing, from MCP or withdiffusion window [show|hide]. Every tool works while the window is hidden.- Lower memory use: after ten minutes hidden and unused, the window is closed to free its memory. The next tool call opens it again on the same project.
Changes
- CLI:
diffusion open --backgroundno longer relaunches the app when it is already running.
