HaulNX 2.3.5
Two new arcade emulators, plus a reliability and safety release: Wi-Fi and USB transfers, unpacking, cover-art search and the desktop's file actions were combed for bugs, and every one found is fixed.
Emulators and consoles
- New emulators: System22-NX (Namco System 22) and Supermodel-NX
(Sega Model 3), with install/update support on the Switch and in the
desktop's Emulators tab. - New consoles: Namco System 22 and Sega Model 3, hidden by default
like the other emulator-only systems. Their folders are created and they
show up in the library and settings lists.
GitHub token
- An expired or revoked GitHub token no longer breaks update checks on the
Switch: they fall back to running without it, and you get a notice to
replace the token in Settings › Account Credentials.
Data safety
- An unpack that's interrupted (quitting the app, the USB link stopping) or
hits a truncated/corrupt archive now keeps the original archive instead
of deleting it next to a half-extracted game. - Unpacking over a file that already exists no longer destroys it when the
new copy fails — the replacement is written aside and only swapped in once
complete. - Files over 4 GB are now blocked over USB with a clear message (USB/MTP
can't carry them; use Wi-Fi with an exFAT card). Previously a large USB
send could arrive cut off at 4 GB. The Switch also refuses them itself, so
dragging one in with Explorer shows "too large" instead. - Folder uploads no longer silently skip dot-folders such as
switch/.overlays(Tesla/Ultrahand overlays) — this affected SD Card folder
uploads and multi-file app installs. - Folder uploads containing a file of 4 GB or more now work over Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi and USB transfers
- A full SD card during a USB push no longer breaks the connection until
you replug — you get a "card full" error and the link stays up. - A full SD card during a Wi-Fi push now says so, instead of "the Switch
dropped the transfer" followed by up to three automatic re-sends of the
whole file. - Several archives, folders or DAT batches pushed back to back over Wi-Fi now
unpack one after another in the background. Previously the second one froze
the Switch until the first finished, and could skip the first one's final
step (DATs not filed, app version not recorded). - Large DATs (over 16 MB) can now be pushed on their own; every DAT push goes
as a streamed zip. - Empty (0-byte) files can now be uploaded over Wi-Fi.
- Deleting a folder-style game (e.g. a PS Vita dump) over Wi-Fi now works.
- Renaming a file to a different capitalization over USB now works.
- Renaming onto a name that's already taken by a folder now gives a clear
"already exists" message instead of a generic failure. - New Folder at the SD card root over Wi-Fi now creates it in the right place.
- Switch-side downloads recover automatically when a server can't resume a
partial download, instead of failing until the partial file was deleted by
hand.
Desktop companion
- Security: console names from an imported collection file are now escaped,
so a crafteddl_sources.jsoncan't run code inside the app. - All Switch actions (rename, move, delete, SD Card browsing, new folder) now
wait their turn in the shared request queue instead of colliding with an
in-flight transfer or inventory poll. - Sending a game folder from the Library explains what's missing (Full SD
card access off, or no folder set up for that console); "Push all" sends the
plain files and skips folders with one note. - Clearer download errors: a refused or missing file on the Switch says so,
instead of suggesting archive.org keys. - Downloads no longer leave stray
.partfiles behind after a failure, and
two files sharing a name but different extensions (.cue/.bin) no longer
collide mid-download over USB. - A failed app update no longer leaves a copy of the release in your temp
folder.
Switch app
- Cover-art searches from the desktop (including Fill Missing Art) can no
longer crash or freeze the Switch when a new search starts before the
previous one finished, and a USB search no longer returns the previous
search's results. - Background tasks are now all shut down cleanly on exit, fixing another
source of the intermittent "an error occurred" when quitting. - Removed unused queue-control endpoints from the Wi-Fi server.
