Fugaro v0.8.7

Install:

  • Homebrew: brew install dimipaun/tap/fugaro
  • Go: go install github.com/dimipaun/fugaro/cmd/fugaro@v0.8.7
  • Or download an archive below and verify it against checksums.txt (see docs/release.md).

Highlights

  • The desktop console's release now builds on a fixed pipeline. Apple's notarisation and its ticket stapling run in a script that retries only the stapling when Apple's service drops the connection, which is what stopped the console from being published with 0.8.5. The console, a macOS app, is published as its own release, console-v0.8.7, as a draft that you publish after checking it.
  • The CLI is otherwise identical to 0.8.6.

For operators

  1. Upgrade the CLI (brew upgrade dimipaun/tap/fugaro) and, in each repository checkout, run fugaro upgrade so the plugin pin follows it. Nothing needs to be re-run per installation: there is no change to an installation's cloud resources.
  2. The console is a separate download from the console-v0.8.7 release; it does not update itself. The site's console download buttons stay off until that release is published and the site's console flag is switched on.

Changelog

  • release notes for 0.8.7: the console's fixed release pipeline (#640)
  • console: retry the stapler calls, staged for the owner's copy-in (#626)

Base images

Published by the images workflow for this tag:

  • ghcr.io/dimipaun/fugaro-history:0.8.7 and ghcr.io/dimipaun/fugaro-history:0 (the sweeper and history job's image)
  • ghcr.io/dimipaun/fugaro-base:0.8.7 and ghcr.io/dimipaun/fugaro-base:0 (one index for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64; per-architecture tags 0.8.7-amd64 and 0.8.7-arm64)

The images workflow then pulls each one with no login and fails if it is not public or lacks linux/amd64 (and, for fugaro-base, linux/arm64); each image's digest is in that run's summary.

The Terraform modules, the schemas and the plugin are versioned by this same tag.
