Installation

Method 1: Direct Download

Visit the Download Page

Click the "Download Zip File" button

Extract the downloaded ZIP file to a folder

Method 2: Manual Installation

Open Chrome/Edge/Brave and go to chrome://extensions/

Toggle "Developer mode" in the top right

Click "Load unpacked"

Select the extracted extension folder

Zap will appear in your extensions list

Browse YouTube as normal

Hover over any video to see the red "Zap" button

Click "Zap" to permanently block the video

Why Zap not showing stats?

Solution: Make sure youtube.com is open in a browser tab — Zap reads data directly from active YouTube pages. If no YouTube tab is open, stats will show as 0.

Blocked videos still showing?

Solution: Reload YouTube. If the issue continues, clear your blocked list storage or reapply your filters. Conflicts with other extensions (like AdBlock) can prevent Zap from hiding elements.

Keywords not blocking?

Solution: Ensure keywords are saved. Zap matches titles exactly (case-insensitive). Try a specific word or phrase and refresh the YouTube page.

How can I clear or export blocked videos?

Solution: Go to the Blocked Videos tab → click Export to download or Clear All to reset storage.
