Hi @djdevil . Couple of minor issues.
Tap function not functioning correctly. If I tap it brings up the left and right arrows and snooze option , but I have to tap again for the actual tap function to work.
The arrows and the other bits even appear when I'm just trying to swipe away as well and are difficult to get rid of,

Overlay option seems not to display the content correctly..
These are what I'm experiencing on my mobile and tablet, haven't checked how it's like on a PC.

Just a thought, is it possible to have a specific area to tap on to get the arrows and snooze for example too right, then it won't interfere with the tap function

Hi @jazzarmac, thanks for the detailed report — all three issues have been addressed in the upcoming release.

1. Double-tap to action — The first-tap-to-reveal behaviour has been removed entirely. Tapping the card now fires the action directly. Instead, a dedicated invisible touch zone on the right side of the card (where the snooze and history buttons sit) reveals the controls when tapped — without interfering with the main action.

2. Controls hard to dismiss — With the new touch zone approach the controls no longer appear unexpectedly during swipes. They auto-hide after 4 seconds or you can tap the zone again to close them.

3. Overlay content not displaying — Fixed. The overlay banner was passing raw Jinja2 template code ({% set ... %}) directly into the banner text instead of stripping it. Complex templates now fall back to the badge_label or entity name so the banner always shows something readable.

@djdevil sorry still issues. Overlay still not correct , not displaying any jinja results. Snooze menu not displaying correctly again and snooze controls not automatically disappearing.

This looks like a browser cache issue — these symptoms (overlay not working, Jinja2 not rendering, snooze menu behaving like an older version) are classic signs that the browser is still running a cached copy of the previous JS files.

Please do the following:

Hard-reload the browser: Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows/Linux, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac
If that's not enough: go to Settings → System → Restart → Clear cache and restart in Home Assistant
Open the card editor and check the version shown in the footer — it should say 1.2.2. If it shows an older version, the update didn't apply correctly
If the footer still shows an older version after clearing the cache, try removing and re-adding the resource in Settings → Dashboards → Resources.

I have forced reset on the browser on the pc, in the ha companion app trouble shooting and reset front end cache, outcome is the same v1.2.2. tap is working, but activates the snooze option without click on the defined area

You were absolutely right, sorry about that! 🙏

The overlay watcher was indeed replacing all {{ }} expressions with … without even trying to evaluate them — simple patterns and complex Jinja2 alike. That's now fixed in v1.2.3:

{{ state_attr(...) }}, {{ states(...) }} → resolved instantly from hass.states
Anything more complex (| int, | round, now(), {% if %}, as_timestamp(), etc.) → sent to HA's template engine via WebSocket and resolved before the banner appears

The snooze menu clip was also fixed in the same release.

Please update to v1.2.3 and do a hard-reload (Ctrl+Shift+R) — let me know if everything works as expected!
