Install cache now backs up and replaces all existing request/response cache rules for the selected zone, including unknown templates and custom exceptions, with the standard policy in one click from network, subsite or standalone settings.
Verified backups, rollback, migration holds, scope checks and readback protection remain in place. Matching standard policies are retained without writes. Cache installation does not change security rules or purge caches.
Validated with legacy-template replacement/rollback regressions, the full plugin regression suite, and real standalone/multisite WordPress integration tests.
