FEATURES

Transferring to a new device or OS has never been easier. The R36 Backup and Migration Assistant backs up all your important settings and games saves in one place and conveniently restores them when ready. Internal folder structure is preserved whenever necessary making it possible to even restore the backups manually if desired.

The Assistant detects how many sd cards are on the restoring device. If backups were taken from a 2 card device but restored to a device with only 1 card any backups from /roms2 are restored to /roms instead, preserving your saves. If a 2 card backup is restored on a 2 card device then all restored files mirror the original device.

The R36 Backup and Migration Assistant can create or restore full backups or backup your apps individually. Emulation Station, KODI, all emulators (RetroArch and standalone) and the themes folder can be backed up using the Assistant. Restoring a full backup fully recreates the environment of the original device.

The R36 Backup and Migration Assistant will work on any OS that uses the listed locations and formats. Place in /tools or /ports to use.

Backups are saved as — /roms/backups/

  • ES_Backup.zip
  • KODI_Backup.zip
  • Emulators_Backup.zip
  • Themes_Backup.zip

Simply transfer them to /roms/backups on the new device to restore.
