AB6A RigCtl 2.2
New
-
Both device nodes are named. macOS exposes every serial port twice —
/dev/tty.Xis the dial-in node,/dev/cu.Xthe call-out node — and only
cu.*was ever listed, since that is what IOKit reports and what the daemons
are given. A port is usually known by itstty.*name elsewhere, including in
mostrigctldcommand lines, so people looked for it here and did not find it.With Show all serial devices ticked, each interface now names both:
interface 1 /dev/cu.usbmodem14101 (/dev/tty.usbmodem14101)What actually gets used is unchanged: always the
cu.*node.
Requires Hamlib
brew install hamlibHamlib provides rigctld, rotctld and ampctld — the daemons this app starts
and reads from — and their model tables. It is not bundled. Tested against
Hamlib 4.7.2.
