Clearer tools for AI assistants 🤖
Every MCP tool now tells the assistant exactly when to use it, which tool to use instead, what it returns and what its limits are — so agents pick the right tool on the first try and waste fewer calls.
- Routing between tools —
samplevsqueryvscount,tablesvssearch_schemavsdescribe,explainfor performance questions - Exact return shapes documented for every tool (e.g.
tables[N]{name,kind,approx_rows}), plus limits, truncation and error behaviour - Every parameter documented; tools have human-readable titles
- Truthful safety hints —
queryis marked as read-only only when writes are actually disabled - Docker image for running the MCP server in a container (
docker build -t rowbase . && docker run -i --rm rowbase) - Listed on Glama and in the official MCP Registry
Install
pipx install rowbase-db(oruv tool install rowbase-db) — command:rowbase- MCP:
