Fight Night Round 3 Recomp 1.0.2
Fight Night Round 3 Recomp 1.0.2 adds native frame-rate selection and fixes saved custom boxer hair colors.
- Hair color fix: custom boxers retain their saved hair color in selection and combat, including scaled rendering up to 2160p. Existing saves do not need to be recreated.
- 30/60 FPS selector: open OPTIONS → GRAPHICS → FRAME RATE, choose 30 FPS or 60 FPS, then use SAVE AND RESTART. The default remains 60 FPS. SAVE applies the choice on the next launch.
- Preserves the existing original-speed gameplay/replay timing and the 1.0.1 guest callback crash fix.
Downloads: Linux linux-amd64.tar.gz, Windows win-amd64.zip, source archive and SHA256SUMS. Both runtime packages use Vulkan. Extract into a new folder and use the included launcher; saves and settings remain outside the package. Supply your own supported USA ISO or verified extracted data. Original game assets are not included.

Fight Night Round 3 Recomp 1.0.1
Fight Night Round 3 Recomp 1.0.1
Linux and Windows Vulkan runtime releases. Project work by djultra64.
Gameplay crash fix
Fixed a diagnosed crash caused by an original indirect guest callback missing from the compiled port. The affected callback was 0x8234A348. This update explicitly compiles all 25 omitted wrappers in its original dispatch family and preserves their original behavior.
Both runtime packages include the correction. Native 60 FPS timing, graphics options, Vulkan rendering and the frame-pacing improvements from 1.0 are retained.
Install or update
Extract the package for your operating system into a new folder. Run install.sh on Linux or install.cmd on Windows to import your supported USA ISO, then use launch.sh or launch.cmd. Preserve your previous installation, saves and settings until the new one is ready. Python 3.12+ is required. No ISO or extracted game assets are included.
This fixes the identified missing-callback crash, rather than establishing that all freezes have the same cause. Other loading, audio and text issues remain under investigation. Postfight narration and unverified replay/score-screen button notices are not changed.
See the release notes, installation guide and known issues. Checksums are included in SHA256SUMS. Third-party credits, licenses and the AI disclosure remain in the repository.
Fight Night Round 3 Recomp 1.0
Fight Night Round 3 Recomp 1.0
Native Linux and Windows Vulkan releases. Project work by djultra64.
- Native 60 FPS gameplay at the original game speed; stock-rate intros and elapsed-time replay updates that preserve slow motion.
- Fractional crowd animation advancement.
- Notification-driven Linux waits to reduce frame-time spikes, with bounded abandoned-lock recovery.
- Persistent shader/pipeline caching and startup prewarming of previously discovered complete pipelines. Cache flushing and periodic driver-cache snapshots run on the storage worker.
- Texture-watch retirement race fix.
- Native graphics options, resolution selection through 4K, fullscreen, FXAA, filtering, SAVE AND RESTART and QUIT GAME.
- Automatic Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch prompts, manual family fallback and optional action remapping.
Download the archive for your operating system, extract it, and run install.sh / install.cmd to import your supported USA ISO. Then launch with launch.sh / launch.cmd. Python 3.12+ is required. The packages do not contain an ISO or extracted game assets.
A steady 60 FPS requires CPU/GPU headroom. Previously unseen content can still compile pipelines; startup prewarming reuses discovered pipelines rather than guaranteeing complete first-run coverage. Intermittent loading, audio and text issues remain. See the installation guide, release notes and known issues.
SHA-256 checksums are included in SHA256SUMS. Dependencies retain their respective credits and licenses. See the repository README for the AI disclosure and contribution guidelines.
Fight Night Round 3 Recomp 0.7 Beta
Fight Night Round 3 Recomp — beta 0.7
Beta · Project work by DJ Ultra 64 — djultra64
Beta 0.7 targets normal-speed play at the original approximately 30 FPS game clock. Download the Linux archive or Windows runtime ZIP from GitHub Releases, or follow the build guide for Linux and Windows source builds.
Included
- Linux and Windows runtime packages with first-run setup and supplied launchers (
launch.sh/launch.cmd). - Native OPTIONS → GRAPHICS integration and QUIT GAME.
- Unified 720p, 900p, 1080p, 1440p, 1800p and 2160p output selection, fullscreen, FXAA and texture filtering. Original MSAA remains read-only.
- Linux Vulkan Mailbox/VSync presentation and persistent shader caching.
- Saved settings and launcher-managed SAVE AND RESTART.
- Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch prompt families, automatic last-device tracking, manual family selection and 14 optional action bindings.
- Local frontend/glyph generation from verified user-owned assets.
- Source builds with a pinned, patched ReXGlue SDK and artifact/package audits.
Compatibility and limitations
The packages require Python 3.12+ and an x86-64-v2 CPU. Linux uses Vulkan and requires a Vulkan 1.3 capable GPU/driver. Windows also uses Vulkan and requires Windows 10 or 11 x64 with a Vulkan 1.3 capable GPU/driver. See installation requirements for platform details.
Intermittent loading, text and audio issues remain. Complete game compatibility and uninterrupted play are not guaranteed. See known issues for current limitations.
Experimental 60 FPS, interpolation and the alternative native renderer are excluded from the production target. The output resolution selector does not promise performance at every setting; 900p, 1080p and 1440p share the 2× render tier.
No ISO, XEX, generated PowerPC source files or extracted/game-derived asset files are distributed. The runtime binary contains compiled translated game code. Supply the supported USA edition and follow installation. Dependencies retain their own credits and licenses.
