v0.14.4
Fixes for reading a backup off a phone that is not a Pixel.
Reported from a Galaxy S24, which reported "That phone did not finish
answering" within a second of looking, every time.
- A folder whose name the device does not give no longer ends the search.
Some devices expose entries with no name at all. The walk built a path out of
that name and then, one level down, called a string method on nothing --
which stopped the whole listing. A Pixel names everything, so this only
appeared on somebody else's phone. - One failed pass no longer gives up on the phone. The quick look and the
thorough walk are separate attempts, and a failure in the first said nothing
about the second. It gave up anyway, without ever running the walk that would
have worked.
Neither could be confirmed from here -- it took another phone to find them and
it would take that phone to prove them fixed. If the same message comes back,
the log will now say which pass failed and whether the thorough one was tried.
If you already have 0.14.3 installed you do not need this file -- Jackdaw
will offer it within a few minutes, as long as Install updates automatically
is on in Settings → Advanced.
