The server no longer requires HelpScout. Configure any one of HelpScout, ProductLift or Chatbase and it runs. It exits only when nothing is configured.

  • Without HelpScout, there are no support tickets, so themes get no severity score and no convergence boost. Every analysis says so, so an LLM doesn't read "zero tickets" as "no support demand".
  • Setting only one of HELPSCOUT_APP_ID / HELPSCOUT_APP_SECRET is reported as a config error.
  • A HelpScout 403 after a successful token request now explains what it usually means: the app's owner lost access, so rotating the secret won't help.
  • The markdown product plan now shows warnings.

To run without HelpScout, remove or comment out both HELPSCOUT_* lines in .env. Full details are in the changelog. Install from source; see the README quick start.
