CodeRim 2.1.13

CodeRim 2.1.13 brings the current macOS and Windows work into one release and fixes the Codex account-limit failure reported after recent ChatGPT updates.

Codex usage and account limits

  • CodeRim now discovers the signed Codex app-server executable inside current ChatGPT and Codex application bundles, including Resources/codex-cli/CodexCLI.app/Contents/MacOS/codex.
  • The executable must still satisfy CodeRim's fixed identifier and developer-team requirement. Successful validation is reused only while the executable and its containing application path retain the same filesystem identity.
  • Today · This Mac remains local session history. Account-limit windows and optional ChatGPT profile history retain their separate source, freshness, and unavailable states.

macOS

  • Settings Usage includes Overview, local analytics, and provider Limits, with model, project, session, image-count, and supported cost-estimate details.
  • Token collection shares bounded refresh work across active sources, tracks analytics changes, and preserves partial-data disclosure when a source cannot be read.
  • Session activity, reset-ring motion, account switching/history, launch-at-login recovery, and settings layout receive their accumulated reliability and presentation fixes.
  • Existing CodexMeter.app manual installations can migrate to CodeRim.app while keeping the compatibility bundle identifier, settings, accounts, usage history, update trust, and notification permission. The package uses the Open Rim icon resource; macOS can retain a separately cached notification icon until the next login.

Optional iPhone companion

The repository now includes the iPhone Live Activity app, desktop snapshot publisher, and relay service. Pairing is explicit. Task titles remain off by default, and the allowlisted snapshot excludes credentials, prompts, conversation content, session IDs, and full paths. Device signing, a configured HTTPS relay, Apple Sign In, and APNs remain deployment requirements.

Windows preview

  • Saved Codex account operations use a current-user lock across cooperating CodeRim processes and preserve account ownership through verification and rollback.
  • Official app-server account/read calls use the current RPC parameters, strict CODEX_HOME handling, and bounded snapshot replacement retries.
  • The Windows source includes optional iPhone relay settings alongside the existing x64/ARM64 MSI and authenticated update path.

Install

  • macOS 14 or later: universal Apple silicon and Intel DMG/ZIP, ad-hoc signed and Sparkle-signed, without Apple notarization.
  • Windows 11: separate x64 and ARM64 MSI installers. The installers are not Authenticode-signed; update manifests and payload hashes use CodeRim's pinned release key.

Checksums, signatures, and the exact validation boundary are published with the release assets.
