Muxly 0.6.1
Muxly 0.6.1 is available for Windows x64 and macOS on Apple Silicon.
Changed
- Horizontal and vertical scrollbars now share thin square accent thumbs, transparent tracks, and matching hover and pressed colours across sidebars, tabs, terminals, dialogs, and forms.
- Service cards show only the selected service as a filled, outlined row; other open services keep just their open-terminal icon, instead of every open card being highlighted the same way.
- Stream mode now keeps the real terminal on screen, with its colours, font, wrapping, scrollbar, selection, and input, and covers only sensitive values with labelled masks, instead of swapping in a plain-text mirror. Copied text matches the masks, even when only part of a hidden value is selected; full-screen programs are covered entirely, and links and Find in pane are disabled while Stream mode is on.
Fixed
- Terminal tabs can now be dragged to reorder them or move them between panels on macOS, with stable insertion markers and edge scrolling for overflowing strips.
- Selected text in the built-in shell copies with Ctrl+C instead of interrupting the process; Ctrl+Shift+C uses the same redacted copy handling in shells and service panes.
- Stream mode masks and copied text retain path redaction across host-inserted line breaks at the terminal edge and aliases containing spaces.
- Stream mode masks cover glyph drift around joined emoji and combining accents, keep wrapped labels readable, and use the terminal background so masks do not resemble selected text.
- Button text now uses its intended size and weight; a global style had forced every button to 16px regular text.
- Switching Settings tabs opens the new tab at the top instead of keeping the previous tab's scroll position.
- Service cards show the cyan keyboard focus ring instead of the browser's default outline.
- The New service form no longer shows a validation error before anything has been entered.
- Restart is disabled in a stopped service's context menu, and the timestamps setting notes that pseudo-terminal output is not stamped.
- Escape closes an open Appearance colour picker instead of the whole Settings screen.
- Tab and Shift+Tab stay inside the command palette, global search, New profile, and confirmation dialogs instead of reaching controls behind the overlay.
- The Services sidebar now shares the custom scrollbar with Details, avoiding inconsistent native scrollbar visibility.
- The Details sidebar uses a slim custom scrollbar whose visible thumb reaches both ends even when content barely overflows; Run history no longer adds a duplicate section gap.
- Terminal action buttons stay above the scrollbar and remain clickable.
- Service terminals and the shell drawer hide scrollbars and ignore ordinary wheel scrolling when their scrollback contains only blank padding, preserving real output history and full-screen application input.
- Starting a PTY service no longer pushes the pane's existing lines into scrollback: the PTY opens at the pane's size, and resizes that don't change the size are skipped, so Windows ConPTY no longer repaints a screen of blank rows.
Downloads
- EXE: recommended Windows installer.
- MSI: alternative Windows installer.
- DMG: macOS installer for Apple Silicon (ARM64). Intel Macs are not supported by this build.
- SHA256SUMS.txt: checksums for all three installers.
Close Muxly before installing. Existing services and settings remain compatible. The Windows EXE and MSI are unsigned, so Windows may show a publisher or SmartScreen warning. Verify the installer against SHA256SUMS.txt before deciding whether to run it. The Mac app is ad-hoc signed and not notarized. If macOS blocks first launch, use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
Stream mode boundaries
Stream mode masks supported paths, emails, URLs and configured sensitive identities. It is not a general secret scanner. Full-screen terminal programs are covered while Stream mode is enabled; terminal links and Find in pane are disabled. Path continuation detection depends on terminal-edge and path-shaped context. Review visible output before sharing.
Build provenance
Both platforms were built from commit 97f35e6adcf1646300f7fcebd5a0a3e92d239414 on branch 0.6.1. The release commit also consolidates the changelog without changing application code.
The Mac DMG was built by the verified macOS workflow, including native Rust tests, signature validation, ARM64 architecture verification and installed startup.
