Accounts
- Add private profile photos for human local and SSO browser sessions. Upload,
replace and remove a photo in Settings without changing SSO-managed identity
fields. Photos use authenticated self-only reads, revision conflict checks,
bounded image normalization and durable object cleanup. Migration 114 and
matching API/worker versions are required; see
profile photo operations.
Authentication
- Complete a workspace SSO login after the person selects an enabled upstream
on the realm's login page. The browser state records the allowed choices;
both verified tokens must name the same allowed provider, which is checked
again without the provider cache before admission. Admission/domain policy
uses that actual provider. Direct-provider and legacy logins remain exactly
pinned; rejected callbacks return to the sign-in page instead of a JSON error.
Upgrade all callback-serving API processes together before issuing the new
workspace states; see the standalone SSO deployment guide (#768).
Identity and resource handling
- Separate stable account handles and UUIDs from mutable profile display names,
including member selection, mentions and user-directory lookup (#738). - Improve file-upload recovery and idempotent retries, document metadata clearing,
and effective access reporting for public Vaults (#741).
Bundled web application
- Reorganize workspace navigation, reading and editing flows, Settings, Vault
management and accessible resource dialogs while preserving user state (#741). - Center Search on its query and results, with compact filters and clearly
separated recent searches, recently viewed items and suggestions (#772). - Simplify the notifications dropdown and align document images (#770).
Upgrade notes
- Apply additive migration 114 and replace the deletion worker before enabling
the new API's photo writes; do not run an older deletion worker against live
account photos. Retain photo-aware cleanup and the new tables during rollback. - Replace all callback-serving API processes together, using Recreate or a
drained fleet switch. Old callback readers reject the new workspace states.
Keep the existing SSO session generation, epoch and Native installation
identity for this ordinary image upgrade. - Update the bundled frontend after the backend. The CI fixture/reset changes
in #739 do not require a production data reset or search-index rebuild.
