ExternalDNS webhook provider for DNScale.

  • Manage A, AAAA, CNAME, and TXT ownership for selected Kubernetes Services and Ingresses.
  • Explicit domain and zone allowlists, selected-value cleanup, and replay after partial writes.
  • Sidecar dry-run is enabled by default. Set DNSCALE_DRY_RUN=false only after reviewing scope; the upstream controller does not forward its dry-run flag through the webhook protocol.
  • Official ExternalDNS chart values, namespace-scoped RBAC, and non-root Linux AMD64/ARM64 images.

Compatibility: ExternalDNS 0.23.0, chart 1.23.0, Kubernetes 1.35.0. Race tests, actual-controller integration, and live DNS lifecycle checks passed. Wildcards, routing policies, and apex CNAME flattening are outside this release.

Anonymous image pulls and a clean Helm installation of the published v1.0.0 image passed the complete controller lifecycle test.
