Remove login requirement for docker sandbox.

Having a login requirement for accessing your servers is reasonable. It would make me sad to lock out anonymous access to models, and I don't think logins actually protect you because people can just create many logins, but it at least makes a little sense.

Requiring me to login to use a local tool installed on my computer is unreasonable though. I should be able to use docker sandbox without an internet connection, without an account, and without having to tell you that I'm using it.

This login requirement for a local tool is a hard requirement for me to use sandbox. I was half way through setting it up when I learned about it, and now I'm looking for alternative options and considering switching away from Docker entirely if this is the direction things are heading (e.g., podman).

Docker has tied sbx to Docker Hub accounts by design, even when it's completely unnecessary. This design decision violates a core principle of CLI tools: they shouldn't require a network connection or an external service to perform local tasks. What if I want to use my agent offline with a local LLM?

There is absolutely no technical reason for this requirement. The daemon runs locally, it uses a Unix socket (no network routing), and the kernels and initrds are stored on my disk. Everything sbx needs to function is already on my machine. The only thing missing is a token signed by Docker.

It’s the equivalent of having a smart lock on an interior door of my own house, where only Docker holds the key, and they require me to periodically renew that key by logging into their website.

Furthermore, sbx does not implement automatic authentication refresh. When the token expires, I have to re-authenticate over and over again just to keep working. It forces you through the full login flow every single time.

It's a shame, as this is a fundamental UX blocker that will determine whether sbx becomes a widely-adopted tool or a forgotten experiment.
