@mat007 I did it for darron -- at least I can't find a new issue on this topic.

Tried 2.3.0.2 stable as well as edge (build 45408).
Running Win10 2004 (build 19041.264) that was released yesterday with WSL2.
What else do you need to diagnose?

I resolved this issue. It was caused by pinning Docker Desktop to taskbar.

yes, but I have not pinned the app to the taskbar.

Can you explain what you do exactly?
Can you look at %LOCALAPPDATA%\Docker\log.txt when that happens to see if there is an error?

After some research, I think, it could be related to this. The symptoms do look similar: microsoft/WSL#4860

Issues go stale after 90 days of inactivity.
Mark the issue as fresh with /remove-lifecycle stale comment.
Stale issues will be closed after an additional 30 days of inactivity.

Prevent issues from auto-closing with an /lifecycle frozen comment.

If this issue is safe to close now please do so.

I tried with the current edge version and this behaves similar. So I added a follow-up issue #8275.

Still hoping for a solution...
