Major Features
- Configurable image registries: Support private and mirrored registries for
operator and data-plane images, with validated repository and tag overrides
(#464). - ImageVolume capability validation: Reject DocumentDB creation when the
required Kubernetes ImageVolume capability is unavailable (#431, #437). - Database image updates: Source Debian 13 DocumentDB extension packages
from PGDG, update the default DocumentDB version to 0.117.0, and remove the
temporary PostgreSQL image pin (#456, #459). - Dedicated monitoring identity: Use a dedicated identity for the
OpenTelemetry Collector sidecar (#420). - Restore compatibility validation: Validate schema-version compatibility
when restoring backups (#440). - PostgreSQL connection certificates: Support certificates for PostgreSQL
connections (#416). - Arc and Fleet hybrid setup: Add hybrid deployment setup for DocumentDB
portal visibility (#267).
Bug Fixes
- Address dependency vulnerabilities reported by govulncheck, including gRPC
vulnerabilities. - Fix PostgreSQL image compatibility with the DocumentDB extension to unblock
E2E tests (#445).
Breaking Changes
- Move gateway and DocumentDB image pull-policy Helm values to
image.gateway.pullPolicyandimage.documentdb.pullPolicy; existing
top-level overrides must be migrated.
Enhancements & Fixes
- Introduce a product-neutral ClusterIntent abstraction without functional
changes (#446). - Expand E2E schema-upgrade coverage for automatic migrations, rollback, high
availability, and unpullable versions (#426, #443). - Add expired-backup cleanup tests and long-running data-protection verification
using ScheduledBackup and retention (#393, #419). - Add operator-pod and primary-pod failure injection, plus retention pruning to
bound long-running workload disk usage (#421, #422).
Documentation
- Add multi-cloud deployment documentation (#399).
