Improved large-database performance, garbage collection, and SQL and version-control correctness.

Reliability and correctness

• Fixed merge transaction handling, schema replay, generated-column indexes, and preservation of untracked views and triggers during reset.
• Corrected foreign-key affinity, CHECK parsing, custom count() behavior, and recovery from incomplete WAL writes.

Performance and testing

• Reduced GC memory growth and streamed checkpoint indexes with bounded buffers.
• Accelerated large-table reads, historical queries, blame, and foreign-key verification.
• Made the node cache respect smaller memory budgets while preserving default performance.
• Expanded fault, concurrency, and SQL regression coverage.
• Added large-table read benchmarks with stock SQLite comparisons and PR comments. Documented all performance suites, with checkpoint timings covered separately.
