Improved scan and bulk-write performance, reduced checkpoint overhead, and strengthened version-control and SQL correctness.

Reliability and correctness

  • Fixed concurrent commits overwriting successful peer writes, stale branch references after lock waits, and recovery after a failed commit race.
  • Corrected merges involving column renames and drops, generated columns, expression and unique indexes, and full-text indexes.
  • Improved interactive rebase ordering, conflict pauses, rollback recovery, and retries; added support for edit steps and keeping or dropping empty commits.
  • Fixed historical-query schemas and branch-tip resolution, staging after soft reset, and workspace and constraint-violation reporting.
  • Corrected embedded-NUL handling in NOCASE keys, foreign-key collation checks, row-ID allocation, and transaction rollback after pending data spills.

Performance and testing

  • Accelerated large-table and wide-row reads, scans after pending edits, and repeated queries with small caches; reduced cache disruption from large scans.
  • Improved bulk updates and deletes, range joins, grouped queries, and default-column backfills.
  • Made chunk-index checkpoints incremental, reducing file growth and write overhead for streams of small commits.
  • Added nightly SQL hotspot discovery and expanded performance regression, version-control fuzzing, and Dolt oracle coverage.
