I think you mean 2.0.0? That functionality still works but it's implementation changed. Page script and page text are now processed immediately rather than after document rendering is complete. That's noted in the release notes: https://github.com/dompdf/dompdf/releases/tag/v2.0.0

I updated that demo so that it works in 2.0.0 as well as older releases (just moved the script to the bottom of the document).

With the latest release you'll need to place the page_text call at the bottom of the document for it to show on all pages. The object-related script should remain at the top. Other than that I don't really have much guidance since your sample only shows the script from the HTML template. Running that code on my test system is fine.

This issue is long closed I recommend you start a new discussion to determine why you're having issues.
