Keystone v1.6.2

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 02:45

Changed

  • Opening Keystone again while it's running, from Spotlight or the Applications folder, brings up Settings.

Fixed

  • With the menu bar icon hidden, opening Keystone when it wasn't running showed no window.

Keystone v1.6.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 01:38

Fixed

  • A newly connected keyboard could fail to switch input sources until Settings was opened.

Keystone v1.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 18 Sep 04:04

Added

  • Each ⌘ and ⌥ key that switches input sources can now switch the instant it is pressed, instead of when it is released. Choose it per key under Settings › Remapping › Switches. A key set this way stops working as a modifier and no other app sees the press, so keep the release option for keys whose shortcuts you use.
  • Caps Lock can now jump to one specific input source, or switch through Keystone instead of the system shortcut, the same way the ⌘ and ⌥ keys can.

Changed

  • Settings › Remapping now has one section per key, with only the controls that key's choice calls for.
  • The menu bar toggle now turns all remapping on and off, not only Caps Lock.

Fixed

  • The Settings window could no longer be dragged after a switch in it was flipped.

Keystone v1.5.4

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 11 Sep 05:48

Fixed

  • The app icon's background looked flat in the Dock and Finder. It now shows its gradient.

Keystone v1.5.3

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 10 Sep 05:24

Fixed

  • Closing Settings or the welcome window now returns you to the app you were using, so other apps' shortcuts keep working right away.

Keystone v1.5.2

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 07 Sep 07:12

Fixed

  • Fixed steady processor use that began once Settings had been opened and went on after the window was closed.

Keystone v1.5.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 31 Aug 10:12

Fixed

  • 1.5.0 crashed on launch: the release toolchain generates a stricter localization-bundle lookup than the one the app was tested against, and it never checked Contents/Resources. The bundle is now resolved explicitly, so the lookup works regardless of the toolchain that built the app.

Keystone v1.5.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 31 Aug 07:57

Added

  • Hold for real Caps Lock (Settings › Remapping, off by default): hold the remapped key for about half a second to toggle actual Caps Lock — uppercase, keyboard LED and all, just like the key used to. Quick taps keep switching the input source the instant you press, and once Caps Lock is engaged only another hold turns it off. Needs the Input Monitoring permission.
  • The app now speaks Korean — menus, Settings, and onboarding follow the macOS language, with English everywhere else.

Keystone v1.4.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 31 Aug 00:56

Added

  • Each tap key can now jump to a specific input source instead of cycling — pick any enabled source per key in Settings, e.g. left ⌘ for ABC and right ⌘ for 2-Set Korean. Existing tap settings carry over as "Next input source".

Changed

  • Settings redesigned in the system's grouped style — section headers, rounded boxes, and switches, like Xcode's settings.

Keystone v1.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 31 Aug 00:30

Added

  • Tap a ⌘ or ⌥ key on its own to switch the input source — left, right, or both sides of each, chosen in Settings. Every shortcut using the key keeps working: a lone press-and-release is the whole gesture.
  • Watching for that tap is the one Keystone feature that observes keys, so it asks for the Input Monitoring permission — and only once it's turned on.

Fixed

  • Settings panes now scroll when their content is taller than the window.
