• Locked Awake: cover every display in black and swallow input while background work keeps running — for stepping away; unlock with Touch ID or your account password after Return, Esc, or a click.
• A global shortcut, ⇧⌘L by default, locks from anywhere; change it in the new Shortcuts pane in Settings.
• The Accessibility permission the lock needs (to swallow shortcuts like ⌘Tab) is requested only the first time you lock — keeping the Mac awake still uses no permissions at all.
