Mostly stuff you asked for.

• You don't need an account anymore. There's a "Continue as guest" button on the login screen. Everything you watch is saved on the device, and if you make an account later it all gets moved over.
• The iPhone app rotates now. Before it was stuck in portrait unless you were in the player.
• Cleaned up the Profile tab. Email is readable now, there's one Edit Profile button, and switching/adding profiles and signing out moved into the menu at the top right.
• Also has the fixes from 1.0.1 (play button missing on iOS 18, "don't have permission to save the file" on Apple TV).

Install

Mac: open the dmg, drag to Applications. It's notarized so it just opens.

iPhone/iPad: the ipa isn't signed, use Sideloadly, AltStore, SideStore, Feather or ESign with your own Apple ID. Free Apple ID = resign every 7 days (AltStore/SideStore do it for you), paid dev account = one year.

Apple TV: Sideloadly works over Wi-Fi. On the TV go to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Remote App and Devices so it shows up, then pick it in Sideloadly.

What's changed

• iOS: the play/pause button in the player was invisible on iOS 18. Fixed.
• Apple TV: streaming and downloads failed with "you don't have permission to save the file". Fixed – files are now kept in the app's cache directory, the only writable location on tvOS.

The Mac app is unchanged; use the DMG from v1.0.0.

Install

iPhone / iPad – SceneBox-1.0.1.ipa is unsigned. Sign and install it with your own Apple ID using Sideloadly, AltStore, SideStore, Feather or ESign. A free Apple ID needs re-signing every 7 days (AltStore / SideStore can refresh it automatically); a paid Apple Developer account lasts a year.

Mac

Open the DMG and drag SceneBox to Applications. The app is signed and notarized, nothing else needed.

iPhone / iPad

The IPA is unsigned. Sign and install it with your own Apple ID using any of these:

• Sideloadly (Mac / Windows) – drag in SceneBox-1.0.0.ipa, connect the device, sign in, Start.
• AltStore (Mac / Windows) – install AltServer, then open the IPA from AltStore on the device.
• SideStore (on-device, no computer after setup) – import the IPA from Files.
• Feather or ESign (on-device) – import the IPA and sign with your certificate.
• Xcode – Window › Devices and Simulators, drag the IPA onto your device (needs a re-sign first, e.g. with iOS App Signer).

With a free Apple ID the app has to be re-signed every 7 days (AltStore / SideStore can refresh it automatically). With a paid Apple Developer account it lasts one year.

Apple TV

Install SceneBox-1.0.0-tvOS.ipa with Sideloadly: on the Apple TV open Settings › Remotes and Devices › Remote App and Devices, then pick the Apple TV as the target in Sideloadly (it connects over Wi-Fi). Xcode can also install it to a paired Apple TV.
