• Quick-add removes every command it successfully applies from the task title, while leaving unknown commands, paths, and links unchanged.

Calendar

• Desktop Week view can show two to seven days and remembers the device-local choice. Shorter views are rolling ranges: Previous and Next advance by the visible day count, so no days disappear between pages. (#951)
• A device-local Completed toggle shows done and archived tasks on their completion date across desktop and mobile. It also includes older tasks that only carry the legacy completion timestamp and completed work whose project was later archived, while keeping deferred and deleted projects out. (#955)
• Mobile Calendar keeps long task titles clear of the Schedule action and shows the selected date in planning labels. Tapping a day now opens straight to task search followed by that day's own tasks and events; the next-action suggestion list no longer sits in between. (#972)
• Mobile Day and Week timelines label the hour as 10 PM instead of a wrapped, half-cut 10:00 PM, and the labels stay inside the gutter at large display sizes.
• Mobile Inbox processing scrolls each newly revealed question into view, so answering one no longer looks like it did nothing while the next question sits below the fold.
• Mobile Week view keeps its hour column visible while you scroll across the week, fits the full week on screen without clipping Saturday, and settles on whole days instead of stopping mid-column.
• Desktop Calendar gets more width for the week and month grids than a list view, while keeping a margin on both sides. (#966)
• External calendars now keep the colors your calendar app gave them: .ics feeds that carry color hints (standard COLOR, Apple, or Fossify category colors) show those colors automatically, per category too. A color you picked yourself still wins, and calendars without hints keep their stable assigned color. Area colors gained a None option to remove a picked color, which also resets that area's projects to the default. Each subscription's color picker gained an Auto swatch that returns it to the feed's own color, and two nearly identical purples in the context palette moved apart so neighboring contexts stay distinguishable. • A subscribed .ics feed that carries CATEGORIES splits into one calendar per category, each with its own colour and show/hide toggle. The category list stays stable while paging months, even when the visible month has no event from one category. Desktop Week view keeps all-day and hourly columns aligned while showing midnight fully. (#966)
• Self-hosted servers can publish a token-protected, read-only calendar feed for scheduled tasks and deadlines. Feed generation now handles standalone carriage returns and timed start/due values without dropping events because of the server time zone, the server throttles invalid-token requests, and feed responses cannot be stored by browser or shared caches. Lists & Performance

• Desktop Archive now offers Filters, Sort, and Group controls, including completion-date options, and keeps grouped archives virtualized at large sizes. Mobile Archive adds search plus the same filtering, sorting, and grouping model inside its filter sheet. (#959, #961)
• Archive bulk selection keeps the durable actions—Restore to Inbox and Delete—and no longer offers the temporary Move to Done action on desktop or mobile. (#959)
• Grouping by completion date splits anything older than a week into calendar months instead of one Earlier heading, so archives spanning years read as a timeline. (#959)
• The Archive and Trash search boxes match the search field used by every other list, and the Inbox capture bar draws its focus ring around the whole field instead of through the microphone and add buttons. (#959)
• Grouped lists put the ungrouped catch-all group (No project, No context, General, …) last on desktop and mobile, so the groups you are looking for come first. (#963)
• Desktop group headers collapse on every grouped list, not only Focus and Reference. Each list remembers which groups are folded per grouping mode on that device, including when switching directly between status lists. (#963)
• Mobile grouping headings fold too — tap one on Inbox, Done, Reference, or Archive. Each list remembers its folded groups per grouping mode on that device, and a folded group's rows leave Select all and bulk actions the same way they do on desktop. Desktop

• Every date field on desktop now uses the same locale-aware input — bulk organize, project details, the recurrence end date, calendar event creation, and inbox processing previously showed a plain browser date picker, so a Jalali calendar user saw Gregorian dates there while the task editor showed Jalali. All of them now share the task editor's date input, with its calendar popover and clear affordance where clearing is valid.
• Every desktop dialog now shares one accessible shell: Escape closes each of them, focus is trapped inside and returned to where you were when the dialog closes, and long content scrolls within a capped panel instead of running off short windows — the Area Manager, Mind Sweep, and prompt dialogs were previously uncapped. Dialogs that guard an in-flight operation (onboarding's Start Fresh, an update download, bulk organize) no longer dismiss from Escape while the operation runs.
• The weekly review nudge fires on desktop even when general notifications are switched off, matching mobile — the weekly review reminder has always been its own setting, and its toggle, day, and time controls in Settings → Notifications now stay usable while the master switch is off.
• Every desktop list now ends the same way: the last row scrolls to a small gap above the window edge instead of either stopping short (Projects, Someday, Waiting, Board, Contexts, Done) or sitting flush against it (Focus, Calendar, Review, Archive). (#977)
• The Day and Week calendars size their hour grid to the window instead of estimating it, so the view no longer grows a second scrollbar over dead space below; in narrower windows the collapsed planning panel no longer leaves a wide empty strip under the calendar, and the Day view drops the whole-column "today" tint that made the lone day look off-color. • The in-app add-task shortcut (a in Vim/Emacs styles, Insert) is contextual again: inside a project it opens that project's add dialog instead of sending the task to the Inbox, and views with an inline capture bar focus it. Views without their own add affordance still open the global quick-add. (#978)
• Desktop time fields keep their text area available for manual entry; their native clock icon still opens the picker. (#896)
• The task editor's Review date takes the same native time field as Start and Due, so it has a picker and follows the clock format of your language instead of being a plain HH:MM text box. (#896)

Existing v1.1.5 geometry seeds the first profile; on a first run or new monitor layout, startup geometry seeds a normal window rectangle so closing while maximized or fullscreen cannot overwrite it. • Linux calendar settings list writable targets without opening every remote calendar, so slow or offline accounts no longer stall task edits or hide other calendars. (#575)

• Desktop uses the cleaned sidebar artwork, and Windows now ships a 32x32-first ICO so the taskbar selects a crisp native-size icon instead of upscaling 16x16. (#937)
• Desktop due dates turn red only once they have passed. A due date inside the next three days uses the warning color, as it already did on mobile. (#640)
• Desktop focus stars are gold again in the light and sepia themes instead of a dark brown. A filled star now paints its outline from a darker token than its fill, so it stays clearly legible on a light background without dulling the colour.
• Desktop Archive rows are the same read-only rows Done uses, so an archived task's notes, subtasks and attachments open in place instead of needing the task restored first. Restore now sends an archived task back to the Inbox from the row as well as in bulk, and deleting one offers Undo instead of a confirmation. (#968)
• Completed and archived desktop rows drop the More options button, which held nothing beyond the Duplicate, Restore and Delete buttons already on the row; right-clicking the row still opens the menu. Delete gained the tooltip its neighbours have. (#968)

Settings

• Settings search now finds every setting — the index grew from 44 to 141 rows — and desktop results show as a list of matches with their location ("Clean up quick add text — GTD → Default capture method"). Picking one jumps to the page, opens the containing section, and highlights the row. Mobile search shows the same locations in its results. (#884)
• Correcting a completed task's completion time to something older than the auto-archive limit now files it away immediately. (#959)
• Auto-archive runs every time the app starts instead of at most twice a day, so a Done task that is past the limit is filed on the next launch rather than lingering for up to twelve hours. The check only looks at completed tasks and writes nothing when none are due. (#959)
• Desktop exposes Skip reminders for a timed start even when the task has no timed due date, matching mobile and the reminder handoff behavior. (#885)

Sync & Automation

• The MCP task tools accept the full task field set: mindwtr_add_task and mindwtr_update_task gained checklist, location, area, review date, focus flag, time tracking, and reminder fields that only the apps and cloud API could write before — and new synced fields will appear there automatically instead of needing hand additions. The local and cloud MCP backends now return the same error code for the same mistake (a missing task is not_found, not internal_error), and self-hosted /v1/search reports the true match total and pages correctly past 200 results. Self-hosted area names over 200 characters are now rejected on create and rename (they previously allowed 500); existing longer names still load and sync. MCP HTTP tokens shorter than 20 characters log a warning recommending a longer one.

• The iOS Pomodoro completion alert actually schedules now. The native notification layer rejected every Pomodoro alert with an internal error (task reminders were unaffected), so the timer ended silently when Mindwtr was in the background. Diagnostic logging now also covers the whole alert lifecycle — scheduling, every skip reason, and every cancellation. (#888)

• Apple Shortcuts grows a v2 action set: the silent capture action is now called Add to Mindwtr (it always could file into a project — the old Inbox-only name hid it) and takes optional due and start dates; a new read-only Get Mindwtr Tasks action returns tasks from Inbox, Focus, Next, Waiting, Someday, or a project for use in later Shortcut steps; and tasks appear in Spotlight search on iOS 18+, opening Mindwtr to their list. Headless results reflect the last time Mindwtr was open. (#980)

• A new Merge Backup option beside Restore combines a backup file with your current data instead of replacing it: items only in the backup are added, the newer copy wins where both exist, local-only items stay, and anything you deleted here stays deleted. The result reports how many tasks were added and updated, and a recovery snapshot is saved first. (#976)

• While the local database is refusing writes, the fallback copy is now the one every read serves: opening the app, lists, and search no longer show older database contents, a read can no longer overwrite the fresher fallback with stale data, and a hiccup reading the fallback is retried on the next launch instead of silently abandoning the changes it holds. (#975)

• iOS builds ship the full-text search module again. Its absence in v1.1.5 made every database save fail, leaving all changes in the fallback copy — and on large libraries losing them, since the fallback refused anything past a size cap that only Android's storage needs. That cap now applies on Android only, so an iOS library of any size keeps a working fallback. (#979)

• Mobile no longer loses changes when the local database refuses writes. Saves that fall back to the JSON copy are now merged back on the next launch, and a database that still cannot take them is bypassed for reads instead of serving its older contents. A fallback cannot report success before its recovery marker is durable. (#964)

• Android saves that failed with a "disk I/O error" now succeed: the database asked the operating system for a scratch file in a location Android does not provide, which refused any write large enough to need one. Scratch data is kept in memory instead. (#964)

• Email capture resets its saved IMAP UID watermark after a validated mailbox, account, or folder change, so messages in the new mailbox are not skipped. Password-only and enable/disable edits retain the existing progress. (#35)

• iCloud sync doubles repeated CloudKit retry delays up to ten minutes, and automatic app-state triggers respect the active cooldown. Each failed automatic cycle schedules its own retry, so quiet changes do not wait for another edit or heartbeat. Sync now still retries immediately. (#948)

• Cloud API, MCP, and desktop Local API task queries accept isFocusedToday=true|false; legacy MCP databases return the correct empty or unfocused result when the column is absent. (#960)

• The browser and self-hosted PWA build now fires task, start, due, and review reminders as Web Notifications while a tab is open — the scheduler was only started in the native desktop shell. A reminder reached between two checks (a background tab has its timers throttled) is now delivered late instead of skipped, on desktop as well. (#962)

• macOS desktop can sync with self-hosted and WebDAV servers that only accept TLS 1.3, which previously failed with a "bad protocol version" error. Certificates from the operating system store, including private and corporate roots, are still trusted on every desktop platform. (#973)

Packaging

• Source builds that install workspace dependencies in isolation (Nix/bun2nix) no longer fail type-checking: the core package now declares its React dependency and the desktop app declares its test renderer, instead of relying on hoisting from sibling workspaces. (#981)

Languages

• Mindwtr speaks Persian (فارسی): a complete translation of every interface string, selectable from the language picker on desktop and mobile. Choosing Persian also unlocks the Jalali calendar option for every date in the app, and Persian task text is detected as right-to-left the same way Arabic already is.
• Interface strings can no longer appear as raw internal identifiers like bulk.deleting: a sweep found 71 strings — including the Pomodoro panel, bulk actions, and several error messages — whose translation key didn't exist, and a broken fallback pattern at 228 call sites that silently showed the key instead of its English text. Every key now exists, every site falls back to real English, and Czech, Vietnamese, Korean, and both Chinese variants gained the missing translations. Two new checks keep both bug classes out for good.
• Korean gesture help now explains each action, and search-match text once again includes the result count. (#943)
