References to non-supported versions for .NET should be removed/ updated to current versions

Description

The documentation is more confusing that it needs to be:

The .NET Core 3.1, .NET 5, .NET 6, and .NET 7 versions are no longer supported.
Update document to primarily refer to supported versions of .NET. Information about de-supported versions could be moved to a "history" section/ paragraph or removed completely?

The document still contain references to older versions, but as far as I can see, the text is not as confusing as it was.
