Type of issue: Clarification request

I am confused between C# language version and C# language standard specification version.

What does this document section [1] | [2] refer to? C# language standard specification v8? or C# language v8?

The committee is currently working on version 8 of the standard.

The draft published here includes some, but not all, of the C# 8 features.

Does this mean C# language standard specification v8 aims to specify C# language v8?

It'll be helpful if a reference to a mapping of C# language standard specification version to C# language version is provided.

Those are good questions @logeshkumars0604

I've put this in the plan for February. We're working on some experiments that should help make this section more clear as the committee catches up to the current released version of C# (currently C# 14)
