Caspian Surveyor 0.9.0.0 - Public Alpha

This is the first public alpha release of Caspian Surveyor.

Baseline Functionality

  • Real-time monitoring of the Elite Dangerous journal
  • Persistent exploration history across sessions
  • System and planetary body information through an in-game HUD-style overlay
  • Reconstruction of survey state from previous journal data
  • Keyboard-driven HUD navigation and application controls

Getting Started

Caspian Surveyor is controlled primarily through keyboard shortcuts.

See the Keyboard Shortcuts section in the README for HUD navigation, panel controls, and exit commands.

Current Alpha Limitations

  • Windows only
  • Caspian Surveyor must be launched before Elite Dangerous.
  • The installer is currently unsigned and may trigger an Unknown Publisher or Windows SmartScreen warning

Feedback

This release is intended to establish the baseline functionality of Caspian Surveyor and gather feedback before additional features and persistent SQLite storage are introduced.
