What's New

Smart status defaulting - Entries created with priority now auto-promote to active status, skipping unnecessary triage.

Features

  • --status flag added to all capture commands
  • Priority-based auto-promotion: synap todo "task" --priority 1 → status: active
  • Explicit override still works: --status raw forces raw status

Why?

Previously, entries with full metadata (priority, tags, due) were still marked "raw", requiring redundant triage. Now the CLI intelligently promotes them.

Examples

# Auto-promotes to active (has priority)
synap todo "Review PR" --priority 1
# → status: active

# Stays raw (no priority)
synap add "Random thought"
# → status: raw

# Explicit override
synap todo "Draft idea" --priority 2 --status raw
# → status: raw
