ui_screenshot now reaches the client as a real image, also through batch, and returns the image itself by default (inline=false still saves a PNG and returns its path). Before, batch put every result into one {"results": [...]} object and the Node and Python proxies wrapped every reply as JSON text, so an image block arrived as base64 text. batch now returns a content list when a nested tool returns image blocks: one text block with the JSON results (each image replaced by [image N below]), then the image blocks. Both proxies pass a list of image and text blocks through unchanged, and the Python proxy no longer declares a dict return type, so it sends no structured-output schema that would conflict with image content. Some clients still flatten or drop MCP images (Continue, Cline CLI, Antigravity ACP, jcode, Copilot CLI); for those use inline=false. Tested after a reload in Claude Code and in omp.
