Pre-release
π QManager BETA v0.1.3
Live bandwidth monitoring, automatic updates, speedtest server selection, and quality-of-life improvements across the board.
β¨ What's New
π Live Bandwidth Monitoring
Real-time network throughput monitoring for the Quectel RM551E modem, powered by a dedicated ARM64 binary and WebSocket streaming.
- π Live traffic display β WebSocket-driven download/upload speeds shown in the Device Metrics card with a "WS" badge when active
- βοΈ Dedicated settings page β System Settings β Bandwidth Monitor with enable toggle, configurable refresh rate (500ms / 1s / 2s / 3s), and live service status indicators
- π§ Per-interface monitoring β tracks
br-lan,eth0,rmnet_data0,rmnet_data1with smart aggregation (excludesrmnet_ipa0to prevent double-counting) - 𧩠Procd integration β dedicated
qmanager_bandwidthinit.d service with two managed instances (websocat + binary), auto-respawn, and UCI triggers - π Plain WebSocket (ws://) β no SSL certificates required, zero friction for local network use
- π Graceful fallback β when bandwidth monitor is disabled, Live Traffic falls back to poller data automatically
π Automatic Software Updates
QManager can now check for and apply updates on a schedule β no manual checking needed.
- π Scheduled checking β configure automatic update checks in System Settings
- π Update preferences β opt in or out of pre-release updates
π― Speedtest Server Selection
Choose which Ookla speedtest server to test against, instead of always using the nearest one.
- π Nearby servers list β fetches available servers from Ookla when the speedtest dialog opens
- π Server dropdown β select from nearby servers or use "Automatic (nearest)" for default behavior
- π Refresh button β re-fetch the server list on demand
- π Input validation β server IDs are validated as integers before use (injection-safe)
π Bug Fixes
- π Password visibility toggle β added show/hide toggle for password fields in login and change password forms
- π¦ Install/uninstall scripts β enhanced to handle bandwidth monitoring services, SSL certificates, and additional binary assets
- βΏ Software update accessibility β improved dialog focus management, keyboard navigation, and screen reader support
- π§Ή Code structure β refactored for improved readability and maintainability across multiple components
