Releases: drachescript/Twitch-Tab-Manager
Release list
V1.0.9
- Removed the annoying tab-based Following Live fallback that could open extra Twitch directory tabs in the background
- Fixed managed live tabs lingering too long after channels went offline
- Tightened offline close behavior so tabs close much sooner when nobody is live anymore
- Improved diagnostics output to show detected live channels and currently open Twitch tabs more clearly
- Improved raid redirect cleanup so unwanted
?referrer=raidtabs do not linger as long - Fixed a probe / offline-detection regression that could cause live checks to fail and tabs to close incorrectly
- Improved error logging so probe failures are easier to read and diagnose
- Added a safety net to avoid immediate mass-closing of tabs after a single bad empty live poll
- Kept live checking / recovery more hands-off by avoiding the old tab-based fallback during normal polling
- Kept recovery behavior conservative so the extension is less likely to interrupt gameplay or refocus the browser unexpectedly
V1.0.8.9
- Massive recovery / fix update after the split broke a lot more than it should have
- Fixed browser config handling so existing saved settings are properly preferred again
- Fixed broken storage / migration logic that could cause empty or reset-looking configs
- Fixed options page loading showing blank / wrong values
- Fixed quick settings and config editor saves so they stop wiping unrelated settings
- Added multiple automatic config backups
- Added easier config restore / export tools in Debug
- Improved overall stability and brought behavior closer to the old working background logic
- Tightened popup config handling to better preserve browser-stored settings during popup-side actions
V1.0.8.8
- Added a possible fix for newly opened live tabs sometimes staying on Twitch’s starting / standby screen until the tab is focused
- Started cleaning up for 1.0.9 by splitting
background.jsandoptions.jsinto multiple files for easier debugging and file management
V1.0.8.7
- Added a changelog tab in settings
- If the extension is off, it should not do anything at all anymore, especially not close Twitch tabs
- Better handling for extra Twitch tabs vs actual raid redirects
- Added popup actions for Twitch tabs
- Added temp whitelist with 12 hours as the default
- More fixes for raid / offline / unfollowed tab stuff

- Small UI cleanup and fixes
Major fix v1.0.7
This update is mostly a big repair pass.
TTM had reached the point where a bunch of core things were either broken or only half-working, so this version focuses on getting the extension back into a more usable state again.
What was worked on
- fixed a lot of popup / background / service worker issues
- improved config loading and general settings handling
- improved force poll / reload / diagnostics routing
- improved follow fetching from Twitch
- better separation between follows and priority channels
- improved Twitch tab grouping so managed tabs try to stay together
- better duplicate handling for already-open Twitch tabs
- improved live detection flow
- added more retry / repoke behavior for Twitch tabs that do not start cleanly
- improved debugging and logging
Current state
This version is better than before, but it is still not the final polished version.
Some Twitch behavior is still annoying because hidden/background tabs do not always like to auto-resume or unmute properly, so there is still more work left there.
Still being worked on
- better handling for stuck paused tabs
- safer soft-wake behavior
- more reliable background playback recovery
- more polish for fetch / sync / diagnostics
So basically:
it was broken, now it’s fixed — partly
Development build
Use at your own risk.
Currently working on 1.0.6
V1.0.5
v1.0.5 — Quality-of-life + follows & mod-view fixes (30/10/2025)
Highlights
- Fetch My Follows now ignores the left sidebar and scrapes only the Following → Channels grid, with reliable auto-scroll to load your entire list.
- Moderator View aware: if
/moderator/<login>(or an equivalent channel page) is open, the extension won’t open a second/ <login>tab. - Autoplay/unmute resilience: unmute helper handles Chrome’s autoplay policy with UI fallbacks, visibility-based retries, and gentle jitter.
Added
- Options → Follows: two fetch modes
- Open active tab (auto-scroll): opens the official page and auto-scrolls to harvest all usernames.
- Use my current Twitch tab: scrapes the page you already opened and scrolled.
- Options → Help: inline Helix setup with one-click PowerShell / cURL token snippets and “insert into config” buttons.
- Config auto-migration: new keys are added without wiping your existing values.
- Popup: Open Settings button and lightweight status line (enabled + next check countdown).
Changed
- More human tab opening: wait for load, inject
content_unmute.js, temporarily disable auto-discard to avoid “blank/muted” tabs on bursts. - Dedupe & max-tabs trimming tightened (LRU).
- README/Store text updates and dark-mode polish in Options/Popup.
Fixed
- Follows fetcher no longer picks up Live Channels/recommended rows from the sidebar.
- More consistent clean-up of tabs for channels that go offline (short grace period).
- Popup event binding race that could throw “addEventListener of null”.
