Sample apps for testing Sideport
Three tiny, open iOS demo apps to try out Sideport's free-tier auto-signing — no Xcode and no paid developer account required. Download an .ipa below and point Sideport at it (see the tutorial).
These IPAs are unsigned on purpose. You don't install them directly — Sideport re-signs each one with your own Apple ID, installs it over USB/Wi-Fi, and then keeps it signed automatically. That's the whole point: watch Sideport renew a free 7‑day signature for you so the app never expires.
| App | Bundle ID | What it does |
|---|---|---|
CertClock — CertCountdown.ipa |
ro.hont.certcountdown |
A live countdown to your signing certificate's expiry. The best one for seeing Sideport keep an app alive. |
DiceRoll — DiceRoll.ipa |
ro.hont.diceroll |
A one‑tap dice roller. |
Concentration — Concentration.ipa |
ro.hont.dragos.Concentration-Storyboard |
The classic card‑matching memory game (UIKit). |
How to use
- Get Sideport running — see the README.
- Download one of the
.ipafiles below and put it where Sideport can read it (e.g. theipa/folder in the Compose example). - Register it with your Apple ID + device UDID through the admin UI, or
POST /api/apps. - Sideport signs it, installs it, and re‑signs it before the 7‑day free‑tier limit — automatically.
Notes
- Built unsigned for iOS (arm64), so they carry no developer identity until Sideport signs them with yours.
- Source (all open): CertClock + DiceRoll live in
sideport/samples— rebuild them with./samples/build.sh. Concentration is at dragoshont/concentration-ios. - A free Apple ID allows 3 sideloaded apps per device at a time — pick whichever you'd like to try.
