  • Draugr reads a supplier's VEX, not just writes one. Point a component at an OpenVEX document
someone else published and their exploitability analysis is applied to your findings — from a
file, an HTTPS URL, or a path inside a git repository:

    components:
      - name: payments-api
        vex:
          - repository:
              url: https://github.com/acme/security
              ref: v2026.08
              path: vex/api.openvex.json
    config:
vexSources: # or once, for every component
        - url: https://platform.internal/vex/current.openvex.json

The point is not that findings disappear — config.exclude already does that. It is that the
analysis stays theirs: every finding a claim excused carries the author, the document and the
date it was asserted, so a supplier's not_affected never becomes indistinguishable from a
decision you made and are answerable for. Only not_affected and fixed suppress; your own
exclusions still win; a statement matching nothing is reported rather than passing quietly.
