AckShell is a modern desktop terminal app built on Tauri 2.x, bringing local/remote file management, SSH operations, and terminal sessions into a single window to reduce tool-switching. Beyond a classic terminal emulator, it ships a file browser, transfer capabilities, a highly customizable dual theme system, plus enterprise extras like an AI assistant and web sessions.

  1. Multi-protocol sessions: Local Shell, SSH, Telnet, Serial, Custom, Web (embedded webview), and FTP remote file management
  2. Split panes & multi-tab: xterm.js multi-pane, drag-to-group tabs, background-running tabs (keepAlive)
  3. Local file browser: per-tab path persistence, open/reveal, trash/permanent delete, copy/cut/paste, dual-track multi-select, inline rename
  4. SSH remote file browser: SFTP/SCP bidirectional transfer (progress/cancel/auto-rename/drag), credential reuse and reconnect retry
  5. Dual theme system: 11 app themes (with WCAG contrast checks) + 16+ terminal themes (ANSI 16-color editing, import/export)
  6. Terminal personalization: background images, acrylic/blur/Mica transparency, per-session config
  7. SSH X11 forwarding: automatic ackxsrv discovery with end-to-end DISPLAY pass-through
  8. AI right panel: assistant-ui + AI SDK, OpenAI-compatible models (incl. DeepSeek)
  9. Customization: TitleBar styles, QuickIcon, global shortcuts, three right-click menu modes, backspace acceleration, unified clipboard
  10. i18n: 10 languages (zh-CN / zh-TW / en-US / ja / ko / ru / de / fr / es / it), YAML source with automated validation

AckShell 将本地/远端文件管理、SSH 操作与终端会话整合于同一窗口，减少多工具切换。相比传统终端模拟器，它内置文件浏览器、传输能力与高度可定制的双主题系统，并附带 AI 助手、网页会话等企业级增强。
