Craft's first published release. Full history in CHANGELOG.md; releases from here on track notable versions.

Highlights

  • Taste Pass: once several tweaks you loved have accrued, craft offers a victory lap - it scouts other surfaces the same taste could spread to and hands each one to /craft:mockup. One ignorable line, never a popup, self-silencing if you never take it.
  • Taste lineage: a loved tweak that grows into a mockup and graduates into a story or another tweak records where it came from. A button that snowballs into a whole page still traces back to where the taste started.
  • Tweak close-out feeling gradient (Love it / Looks good / Good enough / Not quite); "apply elsewhere" is now a follow-on offer instead of a button.

Also new since launch

/craft:mockup (1.99.29) - live design exploration in your browser:

  • Name something visual and craft's alchemist builds three genuinely different live HTML options - stances, not variations - rendered at real scale inside your page's real context. At most one option may stay inside your current design language.
  • Converge by reacting in plain words across three rounds: pick a direction, get variations of your pick, then a live polish loop where each adjustment is injected into the open page while you watch - keep or discard in seconds, no rebuild.
  • On acceptance, the new design values solidify to tokens.yaml with provenance. Every later story, validator, and analyzer enforces the design you approved in your own browser.
  • The converged mockup graduates on your call: apply it now as a tweak, grow it into a pre-filled story (its CSS ports verbatim, never reinterpreted), or park it as a notebook todo.

Tweak snowball (1.99.24) - accepted tweaks reconcile your design system at acceptance: token drift and outgrown locks settle with one question, and a settled rule can sweep across every surface it fits. The Taste Pass above is this loop's compounding half.

Together these close the taste-compounding arc: what you love is recorded, enforced, and proposed back to you.
