RTerm v3.4.3
RTerm v3.4.3 — AI-Native Terminal App by Hyperspace Technologies
v3.4.3 (2026-08-30)
Fix — the 3 long-failing recording tests (stale assertions, not a product bug)
test:v29-features has exited red since v3.2.2 because three
recordingCapture tests asserted synchronously against a write that had
become deferred.
The story. In v2.9.4 the tests were written against a synchronous
recorder. In v3.2.2 a real freeze bug was fixed: recording every chunk of a
cat-of-a-huge-file immediately jammed the event loop, so
handleData() started batching recorder writes with setImmediate. The
feature kept working — but the tests still asserted the instant the call
returned, saw 0 events, and failed. They have failed on every run since.
The fix. The three tests now await one event-loop tick
(flushDeferredWrites()) before asserting, so they assert the real
deferred behaviour instead of a stale synchronous one. Also flushed before
stopRecording() / replay() so the ordering guarantees hold. The
handleData cast is factored into a shared funnel helper.
Effect. test:v29-features is green again — 219 PASS / 0 FAIL / exit 0
— so it can gate CI. Before this, a genuine recording regression would
have been drowned out by three known-broken tests.
No product code changed. This is a test-only fix.
