v3.4.4
v3.4.4 — Memory that recalls what you actually asked
Bug fix: when memory.md grew past the 12,000-character injection cap, RTerm returned the newest entries instead of the relevant ones. The relevance field has existed since v3.0.5 — it was never wired at the call site. Ask about BGP, get last week's PDF notes.
What's new:
- Relevant recall — oversized memory now returns entries matching your current request
- Recency-weighted scoring — a 3-month-old note no longer beats yesterday's on an equal match
- Section-aware memory —
## Gotchas,## Decisions,## Estate,## Open work; recall returns coherent sections, not scattered lines - Auto-write distiller — after each completed run, durable signals (releases, gotchas, hot project dirs, unfinished work) are distilled into memory automatically. No extra LLM call, no extra tokens
- Per-project memory — a working directory maps to a scoped memory file layered on top of the global one
