RTerm v3.8.2 — AI-Native Terminal App by Hyperspace Technologies

v3.8.2 (2026-09-08)

Default command policy is now smart

Fresh installs and missing/invalid commandPolicyMode default to smart
(unknown commands run unless denylisted). standard (ask) remains available
in Settings. An explicitly saved standard or safe is not overwritten
on migrate.

  • DEFAULT_BACKEND_SETTINGS.commandPolicyMode: standard → smart
  • normalizeCommandPolicyMode() fallback: standard → smart
  • AgentService execution context fallback: || "smart"
  • Mobile-web initial view state: smart

Unattended neuralos / rterm-cli / CyberAgent-Pi no longer stall on
command_ask out of the box. Denylist still wins.

Install

macOS: After installing, run xattr -cr /Applications/RTerm.app to remove quarantine.

Linux AppImage: chmod +x RTerm-*.AppImage && ./RTerm-*.AppImage

Linux deb: sudo dpkg -i RTerm-*.deb

Linux rpm: sudo rpm -i RTerm-*.rpm
