Link Order 1.0.0 Community beta
Native English-only network priority manager for macOS 14+, Universal Intel / Apple Silicon.
Install
Download the PKG, or open the DMG containing the PKG and uninstaller. Quit an older Link Order version, approve administrator installation, and open Link Order from Applications. No Apple Developer account or Xcode is required.
Community uses local ad hoc signatures, not Developer ID signing or Apple notarization. macOS may require Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Managed Macs may restrict installation.
Included
- Menu bar panel, live card reordering, individual service switches and Quit controls.
- Network presets, saved profiles and native macOS Network Locations.
- Disconnected-device styling, green default-route indication and measured activity waves.
- Per-adapter download/upload rates, 60-second graphs and totals since boot.
- Optional health checks, wired dock automation, login launch and Option+1/2/3/0 hotkeys.
- A narrow administrator helper for network changes and persistent Charge Only blocking; updates use the new PKG.
- App proxy mode: explicitly configured SOCKS5 TCP applications and separate browser profiles for recognized Chrome, Brave, Edge, Chromium and Firefox apps.
Scope and release status
This is a Community beta. Universal compilation, local signature/code-hash checks and package creation completed. Actual current-network installation, hardware changes and live proxy/VPN traffic compatibility have not been tested during this delivery.
Proxy mode is TCP-only and requires an app to use its endpoint. DNS uses macOS settings; UDP, WebRTC, existing sessions and traffic bypassing SOCKS are outside this mode. Endpoint counters do not verify source-app identity. It is not an app-wide kill switch. General transparent routing requires the separate Developer ID signed system-extension edition, which is excluded from this installer.
The DMG includes an uninstaller that removes the helper, retains personal profiles/browser data, and leaves disabled services off. SHA256SUMS.txt contains PKG and DMG checksums.
