Add Linux and macOS version help text in README

It would be nice to get the most basic steps how to run in Linux included, if possible?

1. Check if you should get arm64 or x64 -- with one of these methods?

   $ arch
   x86_64
   $ dpkg --print-architecture
   amd64
   

2. Make the file executable
3. How to run it, with this?
   $ ./Drupal.CMS.for.Linux.x64.AppImage

First thing to do is actually make it work on Linux. :) The instructions won't be terminal-based, the whole idea is you can start this in the GUI.

And sure, but that's just one of the steps, step one and two should still be included, I would think. Something like this?:

Debian-based systems

1. Run arch or dpkg --print-architecture to check if you need arm64 or x64 and download the correct format
2. Make the file executable: Right-click and select "Executable as Program"
3. Launch the Desktop App by double-clicking the file

Think about this way as well: We need Linux users to try it out, but how can they do that, if they don't know the steps?

I haven't used AppImages for a long time, and had to look up how they work.

I'm certainly open to changing the method of packaging. Is there something that might be a better choice than AppImage? Bear in mind that I'd really prefer to use one method of packaging for Linux -- there are like fifteen different ways to do things in Linux and we can't support all of them. The purpose of the app is for it to work as broadly as possible with as few head-scratching "huh?" moments as possible.

Thanks for being open to change @phenaproxima, though the packaging is probably fine. I don't have any knowledge about packaging, so also not an opinion on the subject ... Though, AppImages seem to be liked overall, so probably a great choice. See for example the comments under How to Use AppImages on Linux: A Beginner’s Guide. I have watched Jay's videos ("Learn Linux TV") for a few years, and he knows Linux really well, so him making videos about AppImages is an endorsement.

I'd just like to document the minimum required steps for a Linux user not well versed in AppImage how to get Drupal CMS up an running, by clearing up any steps which require knowledge, like processor type. Not everyone knows this :)

Sounds great! I tried the latest release and it worked well, I could even install Admin Toolbar via the Project Browser. I'll create an MR.

So we actually no longer need to draw a distinction for the Mac version; it's a universal app now! We should adjust the documentation in your PR to just talk about Linux, which has no concept (that I'm aware of) of universal binaries.
