Error running METviewer plotting script on mohawk

Hi,

I have a set of python scripts on mohawk that read in some yaml configuration files, generate a metviewer xml, and pass the xml to the metviewer batch plotting script to generate a png plot. The batch script is failing with a chrome-related error, but I don't think there is any issue with the xml because when I load it into the metviewer online gui (at https://dtcenter.ucar.edu/met/metviewer/metviewer1.jsp), I am able to generate a plot.

I've attached the xml, the png generated with the online gui, and the log file containing the error that the batch plotting script generates.

I remember a few months ago there was a chrome-related error, and I thought I had implemented the fix for that, but maybe there is something new that I need to still fix. Thanks for any help you can provide with this issue.

Btw, the path to the batch plotting script on mohawk that I'm calling is:

/d2/projects/METViewer/src/apps/METviewer/bin/mv_batch.sh

Looking more carefully at the log file, it seems the batch script doesn't like calling python from within. Then it tries the direct-python method of plotting, but that also fails, but without much information as to why. The final error message is:

Let me verify that all the associated code has been updated on 'mohawk'. We removed the chrome dependency in the plotting code, and the error you described indicates that some of the code was not updated.

'mohawk' did not have the most recent code updates, since this host is only updated when there is a major release. Since you need to generate plots, I went ahead and updated to the latest code version for all the METplus Analysis tools to v 13.0.0-beta2. I successfully ran the mv_batch.sh script on 'mohawk', using your xml config file.
