Android 1.0.0
Android port of Bloodborne (v1.09) for Snapdragon phones (Adreno 6xx/7xx/8xx). Mali GPUs are not supported (the Mali driver is there for testing only).
Pause game
The side menu has a new Pause game switch. It freezes the whole game and its sound, and a "Paused · tap to play" chip at the top brings it back (or Play game in the menu). The game also pauses on its own when you leave the app, turn the screen off, or put another window on top in split screen, and carries on when you come back (unless you paused it yourself). The old "Resume game" entry, which only closed the menu, is now called Back to game.
Less memory, less CPU
- Unified memory. Game data the GPU reads directly (vertex and index buffers) is now shared between the game and the GPU instead of kept twice, about 8% less RAM in our tests at the same frame rate. If you see new glitches or crashes, turn it off in Debug options → Unified memory.
- GPU threads block instead of spinning while they wait: the same FPS with about one CPU core less busy, so the phone runs cooler.
- Unused staging memory is now handed back after a while.
Bug fixes
- Fixes from upstream bloodborne_pc 0.6, including a crash a few minutes into some areas (blur effect).
- Settings and state files are written safely, so a crash or a hard reset can no longer leave them empty.
- Crashes inside the emulator's fault handling and stack overflows are now reported in the log instead of the game just closing.
Install / update
Menu → Check for updates, or install the APK by hand over any 0.8.x–0.11.1. Saves, mods, the game folder and your settings are kept. Frame generation still needs Lossless.dll from your own copy of Lossless Scaling (the Bloodframe page can download it through Steam). No game files or Lossless Scaling files are included.
