Release list
v1.0.1
Swarmterm 1.0.1
Maintenance release — the first one delivered through Swarmterm's built-in auto-update: if you're on 1.0.0, the app offers this update by itself shortly after launch (or tray → Check for Updates…).
Changed
- Dev-dependency security updates (
npm auditnow clean). - Removed an unused Windows-only import that warned on every Windows build.
- CI now compiles and tests the Windows-specific code paths (
windows-latestmatrix).

v1.0.0
Swarmterm 1.0.0
One window for a whole swarm of AI coding agents. Real split terminals, one git worktree per agent — and an app your agents can drive themselves.
This is the first public release.
📦 Download
| Platform | Download | |
|---|---|---|
| macOS 10.15+ · Apple Silicon & Intel | Swarmterm_1.0.0_universal.dmg |
signed & notarized |
| Windows 10/11 · x64 | Swarmterm_1.0.0_x64-setup.exe |
per-user install, no admin needed |
Windows SmartScreen: this installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows shows "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway. The download itself is protected by this release's checksums and, for updates, by Swarmterm's signed update pipeline.
Linux builds are planned.
✨ Highlights
- See the whole swarm — workspaces of real split terminal panes (true PTYs, 24-bit color), live pane titles, activity dots on busy panes, and broadcast typing when five agents should hear the same thing at once.
- One git worktree per agent — flip a switch and every agent pane is born on its own branch in its own worktree; a built-in git panel shows each agent's diff without leaving the app.
- War Room — put agents in named rooms where they discover each other, exchange messages, and delegate work — with you in the moderator seat. Messages hold politely while you're mid-keystroke.
- Agents drive the app — every pane is wired to Swarmterm over MCP for exactly as long as it lives: agents open a live web preview beside their own pane, spawn worktrees to hand off subtasks, and talk to their peers.
- Live web preview — a Chrome-style column rendering the dev server an agent just started, next to the terminal that started it.
- Session resume — relaunch and pick up past Claude Code / Codex / OpenCode sessions right from the composer.
- Built-in auto-update — from this version onward, Swarmterm checks for new releases after launch and offers them in-app (tray → Check for Updates… to check manually). Nothing downloads without your click.
📚 Getting started
Install, open a workspace, drop in your agents — the user guide covers everything from splits and shortcuts to the War Room.
🗂 About the other files on this page
latest.json, Swarmterm.app.tar.gz, and the .sig files are the auto-updater's machinery — installed apps fetch them to verify and apply updates. You only ever need the .dmg or the -setup.exe above. Source code archives are attached automatically by GitHub.
